About Adam
Cellist Adam Gonzalez, a member of the Trio Giocoso, and the Azimuth String Quartet, has performed extensively in the Washington DC metro area. He has recorded commercially for National Geographic, and the History Channel. He was also a founding member of the Mariner and Helios String Quartets. He is a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois, and earned a Master of Arts in cello performance from Boston University. Adam has been a member of the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Mexico Symphony. Gonzalez has taught at Georgetown University, Montgomery College, and he was Director of Instrumental Music at the Waldorf School in Baltimore. He currently teaches cello and Music Fundamentals at Frederick Community College, and Music History at Carroll Community College. He maintains a private studio in his home in Kensington, Maryland.
